Simonsen, David Jacob

   Danish rabbi. He was born in Copenhagen, and served as a rabbi there. During World War I he assisted war victims and took an interest in the Palestine Jewish community. His library of books about Judaism contained about 40,000 volumes. He published various works of oriental studies.
